Hair, hair and more hair!

Ladies love their long and soft locks, that’s why there are plenty of products out there that are dedicated to transforming hair to its best possible condition. My hair has been through a lot, I have rebonded my hair thrice and colored my hair thrice too. I paid the price of all the harmful things I’ve done to my hair. It came to a point that I just tied it all up in a bun because it was too frizzy and dry. I honestly think my hair is dead lol.  Thus, I finally set my foot down and decided to take care of my hair!

Keratin Treatments

Keratin is a protein that is naturally found in hair, this protein makes hair soft, strong, and healthy. However, due to harmful hair products land processes that hair goes through, the keratin in the hair thins out resulting to breakage. Keratin treatments are the buzz among salons and beauty centers today because of its effects to the hair. Now that a lot of people are coloring their hair to crazy colors like pastel and rainbow, I for one would like to try out those hair colors well because it is the fad. Unfortunately, beauty is pain and it takes a lot of chemicals to achieve the desired hair color thus it is expected that hair can get frizzy, tangled, dry, and all that bad stuff.

Sulfate-Free Products

Once you dye or bleach your hair, there’s no way you’re safe with just your regular shampoo and conditioner. I learned this the hard way because my regular shampoo and conditioner combo just doesn’t cut it with my frizzy and desert-dry hair. In my research on colored hair, I found that hair products containing sulfate basically destroys your hair and hair color. It was also a struggle for me to find sulfate-free products on the local supermarkets thus to online shopping we go.

Here I found great products on Human Heart Nature that are:

  • Sulfate-free
  • Silicone-free
  • Paraben-free
  • 100% no harmful chemicals.

Cold Water Effectall-about-hair-hello-relyn

Colored or non-colored hair, you can’t really wash it every day because you can rinse away the natural oils your body produces to make hair healthy. But when you do wash your hair, rinse it in cold water. I know that it is uncomfortable to shower with cold water especially in the Baguio weather but there are plenty of benefits in rinsing hair with cold water including:

  • Natural detoxification
  • Locks in nutrients from conditioner
  • Maintains natural hydration
  • Prevents frizzy hair

My Hair Now

Today, my hair is happy and not foreboding lol but using these products definitely made a difference to my hair. It is still in the process of recovering from all the bad chemicals and stuff however I can say that it is much better than before. I have been using the products for a couple of months now and so far so good.
