Tasty, vibrant, and rich in history are the first things that pop into my mind when I hear Mexican food. The colorful spices and its unique taste seem to be close to Filipino food and I think that is the main reason why I love it too. Filipino food is close to my heart and it is literally my comfort food thus it is not difficult for my fellow Filipinos to love Mexican food because of its familiar flavor with a twist.

A Must-Try in the City of Pines

I don’t see a lot of Mexican food in Baguio and as the city is known for being a “melting pot” of culture it is just fitting for locals and tourists to try Mexican cuisine and explore the dishes it has to offer. Mexican food is more than just tacos but a lot of other things you need to try. Tradisyon Comfort Food at Azalea Hotels and Residences Baguio whips up some of the best Mexican dishes on their Mexican Fiesta Buffet every Wednesday. I also love the fact that you can customize your own tacos with its wide array of sides and fillings.

Sweet and Savory

Tradisyon Comfort Food has been on my favorites list of restaurants-slash-coffee shops in the city (promise!) because of the variety of food it offers and its unmatched attention to the different flavors of a particular cuisine. It was my first time to try their Mexican Fiesta Buffet and it was a pleasant surprise to just enjoy and savor the lovely, spiced dishes, it honestly felt that every dish is made with love and I can see the reason why it has become (Mexican food) a popular comfort food around the world.

Below is Turista Boy and I’s fave dessert on the dessert table, this is called Dulce and this just tastes heavenly and it literally melts in your mouth. I haven’t tasted anything like this before and I, hands down, recommend this for everyone. The light dessert is definitely moist and a perfect to top the savory dishes.

Some of the dishes you can look forward to in their Mexican Fiesta Buffet is the Pescado De La Veracruzan, Pollo En Mole Negro, Mexican Picadillo and Carne Mechada Con Paprika. Enough about the buffet because it is time for you to try it for yourself. Bring your family and the barkada to Azalea Hotel and Residences for a one-of-a-kind buffet every Wednesday at Tradisyon Comfort Food for only Php 400.00 per head.
