Blogapalooza 2016 opened new doors and opportunities for me as a blogger and I also got to experience a lot of things for the first time like traveling alone. On my Bloga adventure, my fellow #NorteBloggers stayed in Novotel Manila Araneta Center.
About Novotel Manila Araneta Center
Novotel Manila Araneta Center is hotel located in the heart of Quezon City where one has easy access to several shopping centers as well as transportation. Novotel offers numerous facilities and services such as a fitness center, swimming pool, spa, and many more.
Pro Tip! If you are new in the area (like me) make sure you have data connection and book rides from Uber or Grab for smoother transactions with your driver.
My First Impression
The first word that came to my mind when I set foot in the hotel was “wow.” The high ceilings and the wide lobby was simply amazing. I loved the theme of the hotel lobby because of the colors not that I know a lot about interior design but from my Psychology class before, warm colors like red and orange are inviting and comfortable. I was drawn into the design too much that I honestly forgot to take a picture haha!
Home for the Weekend
I feel special when the hotel takes the extra mile to assure their guests’ satisfaction thus this simple note brightened up my day. On the other hand, I was surprised to see that the bathroom wall was completely see-through and weird thoughts entered my mind at this point. How can I shower knowing that the world is my audience haha! But to my relief, there was a thick curtain that would shield me from that embarrassment LOL.
I remember sleeping like a log on the first night, I was never comfortable sleeping during bus rides and the 6-hour trip from Baguio to Manila definitely tired me out. What I like the most about the bed was that it’s the right cross between soft and not too soft – just right and just what Mama Bear wanted.
Breakfast at Novotel Manila Araneta Center
Breakfast was great. There was a wide array of choices from Asian to Western and everything in between. It was overwhelming at first, wanting to try everything at once thankfully I settled for what fits me the most. Don’t want to waste food of course! Plus, Pizza for breakfast that was awesome. Shoutout as well to the Rose Lassi it was booomb AF.
Novotel Manila Araneta Center was a pleasant surprise because I had something different in mind when I first heard of it. Its modern design was a fresh and elegant fit for young professionals in the city. I would definitely come back in the future 🙂
