As July comes to an end, there are some products that have been with me through this rainy and cold month. My skin has been a weird combination of dry and oily even if I just stay at home. These products have saved my skin through this month and I would love to share them with you because I do believe it might help somebody out there that has similar skin issues to me. Here are my top 5 favorites for the month of July:

  1. Mary Kay Timewise Liquid Foundation

This foundation is perfect for oily skin and what I really love about this foundation is that it is matte and long lasting. Whenever I use this foundation, I  do not feel the need to put powder on because I’m already happy with it’s matteness. To be honest, I panicked a little when I applied the product with my beauty blender because it was lighter than my skin tone, but after a few minutes it settled and blended well into my skin tone (phew!). Mary Kay Timewise Liquid Foundation also has a good and buildable coverage. Only downside for me is its container since it does not have a pump and you can easily spill the foundation because of its liquidy consistency… (expect a mess haha)

  1. Maybelline’s Baby Skin Pore Eraser

I’ve always had this problem with my enlarged pores and before I did not use any primer and whatnot to cover them up. As a result, the foundations I used did not do a very good job in concealing my pores. Instead, they were even highlighted! (que horror!) but thankfully I stumbled upon Maybelline’s Pore Eraser. I placed a tiny amount at the back of my hand and applied directly on my pores, in a matter of seconds my pores were covered (I was amazed tbh). On the downside, it didn’t make my foundation last longer but I still think it’s a great product if you want to achieve an airbrush finish.

  1.  Avon lipstick in Deep Orchid

This lipstick is fitting for the rainy season, the color payoff is amazing and your lips can go from sweet light purple to vampy deep plum. I love the packaging too, sleek and shiny. However, I’m not a fan of the scent though, smells weird but goes away after a few minutes of wearing the lipstick.

  1. San San Blush Mosaic in Peach O’ Fame

For sure, this is not your average blush. It’s peachy and bronzy and just perfect for my fair skin because it is hard for me to achieve a sun-kissed glow thanks to the gloomy and foggy weather. Fake it till you make it, they say. Moreover, I also use it as an eyeshadow to warm up my crease. Its just a super cute all-around product for everyday use. Best of all, I think it’s only about Php 120.00.

  1. Ker Organic Lip Balm

I love organic products and I was lucky to find the Ker Organic Lip Balm at Porta Vaga. For only Php50.00, you get all the good stuff in one product. My lips just feel like a baby’s bottom after using it. Downside, well I did not like the scent but you can really tell it’s all organic and healthy.

Yes! Those are all my July favorites. I am looking forward to another month of discovering new products that I will love and probably hate. If you have some suggestions please do leave your comments down below. Thanks!

  1. Great post! I love the color of that lipstick, in particular. I’m also glad to hear that you’ve been enjoying Maybelline’s Baby Skin Pore Eraser; I’ve been trying to find a product that can minimize pores, so maybe I’ll try this one out! Also, where do you buy the blush?

Would love it if you checked out my blog as well! https://thesiyuwu.wordpress.com/

      1. Thanks so much Relyn! (Beautiful name, btw). Seems that they ship only to the Philippines but if I ever get the chance to visit I’ll check out the brand 🙂

I’m excited to read more of your posts too!
